Today's Scripture Reading: John 14:1-6 {Read Online}

DAY 1 - COME
"to approach, in any manner and from any distance"
When was the last time you were invited to participate in something awesome? A wedding. A BBQ. A birthday.
Invitations make us feel included–special, loved, important. Jesus’ invitation in John 14 is no exception.
Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection built a bridge to the Father. He invites us all to cross over and embrace His redemption. {Click to Tweet}
But there is one caveat. One condition.
We must believe Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life (Jn. 14:6a)” in order to have a relationship with God.
He is the only way.
“No one comes to the father except through Me.” John 14:6b HCSB Just imagine receiving a card in the mail that said, “You are invited to join me in Heaven. I’ve paid the way. I’ll send along everything you need for the journey and have a room prepared for your arrival. Bring your friends! - Jesus Christ” What would your RSVP say?
"No thanks, I’ll
pass." It is possible this is your initial response. And if that’s the case, don’t let it deter you from committing to this study.
I will do everything I can to help you understand the quality of Jesus’ character and the validity of His invitation throughout this study. Twenty days from now, you will be fully prepared to send that RSVP, and hopefully, your answer will be a resounding YES.
"I'm undecided." You are on the fence. Captivated but not ready to commit. You need more information before you can make your decision.
I get it. I’m all about doing research and gathering facts before making a decision.
The purpose of this study is to give you the opportunity to see Jesus Christ through the eyes of one of His closest friends. It is time to set aside any preconceived notions and invite God to show you who Jesus Christ
really is.
"I’m IN!" You already sent in your RSVP, and you are experiencing the blessings and benefits of being on the Heavenly VIP List. Congratulations!
Now it's time to invite your friends to travel with you. I know, it can be a little nerve-wracking. But once you’ve completed this study, you will be equipped to extend Jesus’ invitation to your friends and
family members.
Action Point: If you’ve already accepted Jesus’ invitation, take a moment to think of someone you’d like to be your “plus-one.” Write their name on a card and commit to praying for them throughout our 21-day study. Trust that God will use this study to prepare you to share the gospel truth with your friend.
If you’ve not yet accepted Jesus’
invitation, take a moment to write down your most-urgent, unanswered questions on an index card. Be looking for these answers throughout the study, and if we don’t cover them by the end, don’t hesitate to send them directly to us. We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we’ll do our best to help.
